Türkiye: digital project preparation regulation enters into force
Mimarlık ve Mühendislik Projelerinin Dijital Olarak Hazırlanması Hakkında Yönetmelik (Resmî Gazete 33331, 5 Ağustos 2026)
Architectural, structural, electrical and mechanical permit projects for new buildings must be prepared digitally: 2D documents as PDF/A, 3D models BIM-based under TS EN ISO 19650 and delivered as IFC. Transitional articles phase the IFC duty in by city size from 2029 to 2032.

The regulation enters into force on 1 September 2027.
MADDE 16- (1) Bu Yönetmelik 1/9/2027 tarihinde yürürlüğe girer.Madde 16
The BIM model is delivered in IFC as defined by TS EN ISO 16739-1.
(5) BIM modeli TS EN ISO 16739-1 “İnşaat ve tesis yönetimi endüstrilerinde veri paylaşımı için Endüstri Temel Sınıfları (IFC)- Bölüm 1: Veri şeması” standardında tanımlanan IFC formatında teslim edilir.Madde 4(5)
Each discipline prepares its project BIM-based under annexes EK-5 to EK-7 and delivers it in IFC.
(1) Projeler, projenin gerektirdiği disiplinler tarafından ayrı ayrı BIM tabanlı olarak EK-5, EK-6 ve EK-7’de verilen teknik kurallara uygun olarak hazırlanır ve IFC formatında teslim edilir.Madde 9(1)
