Methods

How an item reaches this site, who checks it and what we refuse to publish. The numbers below are read from the content files at build time.

One file per item, validated before every build

Every news item, research note, calendar date and case is a file with a fixed set of fields: the primary source, the date, who read the source against the text and when, the quoted claims, and the copy in three languages. A check runs before every build and refuses the build if a file breaks a rule. Nothing reaches the site unless its status is published.

Primary sources only

A source is the standard body, regulator, vendor newsroom or paper itself. Trade press and law-firm notes help us find things; they are never the source we cite. Each item links the primary document, and the publisher is named.

Quotes behind every date and figure

Calendar dates publish only with a verbatim quote from the legal or normative text, whoever verified them. Agent-verified news and research items need at least one quoted claim. A person may publish a news item or note without a quote; the page then says so plainly.

Availability stated as the source states it

Announced, preview, beta, available, or effective on a date. The difference is the difference between a vendor's ambition and your Monday morning, so it is a mandatory field.

Who verified, named on the page

Each item names who read the source against the text: a person's handle, or an agent such as agent:claude. Agent-verified items are reviewed by a person before they are merged; where that review has not yet happened, the agent's name is what you see.

Cases need measurements

A case publishes only with at least one measured outcome, a paragraph on what did not work, and an artefact. We write the structure from project records; the numbers come from the person who ran the project. Nothing is estimated.

What we never do

Invent members, discussion activity, tests we did not run, figures we did not read, or freshness we do not have. A date without a quote stays unpublished. A dead source retires an item with a note; it is not silently deleted. A changed source produces a visible update, never a quiet edit.

Corrections

If a quote, date or figure is wrong, write to contact@euclide.co with the page address. Corrections are made in the file, so the history is in version control.
