EU: deadline for transposing the recast Energy Performance of Buildings Directive
Directive (EU) 2024/1275 (EPBD recast), art. 35
Member States must bring in the measures of the recast EPBD, including renovation passports, digital building logbooks and life-cycle carbon disclosure for new buildings. National texts decide what owners actually file.

Member States must transpose the core articles of the recast EPBD by 29 May 2026.
1. Member States shall bring into force the laws, regulations and administrative provisions necessary to comply with Articles 1, 2 and 3, 5 to 29 and 32 and Annexes I, II and III and V to X by 29 May 2026. They shall immediately communicate the text of those measures and a correlation table to the Commission.Article 35(1)
